The social and solidarity finance field is at an interesting moment of development around the globe as – simultaneously – convergence as well as divergence trends can be observed: There has been a surprising proliferation of specific techniques on how to finance the provision of the provision of social services and social innovations and new actors such as institutional investors are entering the field and the ensuing conversation. On the other side, these communities are often not interacting and there is rarely any exchange across countries or topics.

The European Center for Social Finance aims to bridge these different logics across boarders thus contributing to the development of the social finance field by offering technical assistance to investors and investees, developing and implementing methods and tools across the entire investment process and disseminate knowledge and best practices through its publications.
